I drink coffee in the morning, hot, and I also love green and black tea. I gotta watch it though with the caffeine or I will make my insomnia even worse. There isn't much going on around DSF land at 3 am.
Oh yeah and I only like coffee flavored coffee. I hate all those fruity nuts and crap people flavor their coffee with.

im a big fan of green tea as well. But not as much as Asians....

Coffee used to be traditionally shade-grown, it needed the shade of canopy trees to survive. We developed hybrids to grow in the sun that produced more (smaller) beans, so lots of coffee farmers cut down the rainforst their coffee was growing in to make space for these sun varieties.

Unfortately the sun varieties need a lot of chemical fertilizers (since the forest isn't providing leaf-litter to put nitrogen back into the soil), as well as chemical pesticides/herbicides: shade grown coffee has the advantage of having birds to pick off bugs, plus they're not grown as close together and not in monocultures so they're less susceptible to bug epidemics.

Plus, being a bird nerd, drinking shade-grown coffee helps preserve forest for migrating birds (there's been about a ~20% decline in the migrating bird population due to habitat loss). And to boot, shade-grown coffee matures slower which builds up natural sugars and enhances the flavor.

I was just jokin' about it, I didn't figure it was legit.

I drink Mt. Dew and eat KFC. KFC is actually my favorite place to get chicken, wether they abuse their animals overfeed them etc. or not. Best tasting chicken there is from a big chain.

haha yeah they put green tea in just about everything. Its good though! You should try green tea ice cream. It's awesome. In the parts of China I have been, they drink green tea all day. Room temp as a beverage and hot at every gathering and meal. There is no coffee anywhere except at the fancier restaurants and hotels. And that is usually powdered coffee. But after not drinking coffee for a week it tastes pretty damn good.
