We needed a shitload of building to be done, there weren't enough workers here to do it, so they came at exactly the right time. Unfortunately there are some narrow minded idiots who don't see it that way. A lot of Irish forget that we've been traveling the globe in search of work for most of the past 150 years, we can't turn around and say immigration is a bad thing.

The typical cure is just to start drinking again but if that's not an option an Irish breakfast (which is almost exactly the same as the Scottish breakfast described in the ask the scotsman thread) usually does the trick.
