Saw it tonight, Iagree w/ MHeat, not great for a lot of folks but its an awesome Bleak story that gives U little chunks of hope. Dug the shit outta it!

i have to admit, it was better than i was expecting. not a great flick, but watchable, although about 20 minutes from the end, i was wishing it was over already.

nah, its not a remake. herzog said " the film is not a remake, It only has a corrupt policeman as the central character and that's about it." i dont think he wanted the "bad lieutenant" part added to the title, but the added it anyway, or some shit.
