Ohio being an "At will" state, you can be let go just because they want to do so. You can also leave for the same reason.

Yep, I even had in the email "per my team lead and company policy", doesn't make a difference.

After talking with others, we think this was a FUCK YOU from the middle manager. His wife works for the same consulting company I do and that has placed most of the contractor techs at the company. His wife is also best friends with the "new" contract company starting to replace the current techs. A new tech started the day after I was let go. From that other company...

Oh, and the company I work for (and his wife) officially warned her to not promote the other company as it's a violation of her contract.

They're also suing the client for breech of contract because the client has brought on five techs from the other company without the required "first placement opportunity" the contract states.

Good thing my company isn't listing me as fired for cause. UE won't be an issue and I have two interviews with other clients this week.

Still sucks, I hate looking for a job.

I'm getting ready for NY Comic Con. This is going to suck. My eyes are watery so I can't wear makeup or it will get worse.

You won't need makeup at a comic show. The fact that you have breasts and a pulse will automatically make you an object of desire of a good number of the nerdlings and unfuckables you'll find there.
