All I could do when I was a plain mod was issue infractions. I couldn't even edit thread titles or delete posts and I had no access to the approval area either.

I'm not a true admin, I am a modified mod.

I appreciate everyone's willingness to help, but I could have 40 of you doing it and it wouldn't really help. Within 5 minutes after I flush the toilet, 50-100 of them are back making that section look like shit all over again. Less than 30 seconds after I flush said toilet, 3-10 of them are back.

I can't set the permissions anyway to get you there, I can only make you a plain mod as described above.

Sorry everybody, I don't like looking at it either.

It's spambots, it's automated, and it mostly originates from China. There is no way we could keep up with it manually. Since they often spoof the IP address too, you can't simply block the IP address or even a range of IP addresses. There are dozens, maybe hundreds, of forums that are being affected by this.

I would personally go in and block each and every ip until they are out of ip's for the offending countries. I just can't, I would have to be able to get into the server to make it happen and the man ain't going for that.
