Someone said something about a tattoo I almost ended up with one this week. I will sum up New Years to show the situation and I also...whatever I am telling the story. On hogmany (new years eve) I had a few mates come to my place, it was pretty decent cos I live in the city centre so everyone brought drink since they knew they would be staying here for a few days. So I got about 50 quids worth of drink for free. We then went to another friends place and partied for a bit there, adding some more to the group. Went to the street party, saw the usual bit of banter, people climbing on street lights and all that. New Years is great though, everyone is up for a fun time and I have never had trouble. We then headed to a pub down a back alley which is great cos it always has all these old drunks singing random Scottish songs and playing shitty old instruments, but it also has a massive bar and a great selection of booze. We all got some cigars and smoked and drank out in the alley for a bit. Then this old guy showed up in a kilt (not all that old, about 50y/o). He had 2 flasks, one was some Spanish Brandy and the other was a Malt Whisky. He shared a bit of both which was nice. Things get blurry at this point but we ended up at another couple of pubs. Carried on the party back at my place for a bit, had some weed so rolled a few joints too. I am also a master of the shisha pipe from when I stayed in Istanbul so that was up and running too. People kept falling asleep so we piled them up in my bed since they were snoring and it was also fun. It was morning before I knew it, so we stuck on some movies to chill out for a bit. Soon enough some more people had recovered or crawled out of whatever gutter they slept in for the night and were showing up again. One of the dudes was a tattoo artist mate and another was my old boss who I became good friends with. They are both absolute nutcases and they dragged me out into town, they wouldn't take no for an answer. The streets were completely dead (probably since it was only 4pm) yet we persevered. We got to a bar and made some deals to get lots of nice cheap drinks in the spirit of the new year. We arranged for a party at someones girlfriends place and I had to go get some more drinks to take over. Went to this extremely dodgey 24 hour place, it has all these bandits (like slot machines) crammed into the back and every single person in there looks like they are going to pull out a knife at any second. Including the girl at the register. Anyway, went and partied at the house for a bit, there was some coke on the go but its not my scene. I do stencil art as a hobby and the tattoo guy offered me a free tattoo in exchange. He said he would be round the next day. He slept in though and I had to do uni work. Now its 6am a few days later, I have been doing uni work more or less non stop since and that is the end of my story. I have photos too. I do not know if I made that story exciting or not and frankly, fuck you reader. I don't care. It ends well though doesn't it?
