fuck thats awesome!! i have heard of some foreclosures here, rumor was 17 last month but i have yet to see any auctions or anything. this city has a majority of ppl working in oil and gas and its been slow with the things our politicians did then what happened in the rest of the world so im sure that is a lot of the foreclosures. did u find foreclosures on a site?

Pretty much all the homes for sale here are foreclosures. Its rare to see a "real owner" selling their house. They actually make a point of stating "NOT A FORECLOSURE" on those.

thats good for you but not good for the city. whats causing all the foreclosures? besides the lack of ppl paying they bills. is there a large place that laid off a bunch?

Lenders would lend money to anyone who asked. A year or two ago, everything was at least 450k and up. A lot of the people that bought those homes could not afford them, but were given the loans anyway, zero down, less than interest payments, etc. At first it wasnt that big a deal, because home values were going up so much here, even if they were paying less than interest only, they could turn around and sell the house in a few years and walk away with a nice profit. Fucking insane.

Pretty much. A few housing developments were left unfinished, and literally, for sale signs on almost every block.

I'm glad I waited until now, I could buy 4 houses for what one used to cost.
