Hmm, you have to insert a coin to get the shopping cart, but once you are finished and parked the cart, it's given back (the coin). For the bags you have to pay generally.... but it's between € 0.05/€ 0.15 not more!

Are the bags for free in the other stores?

In most stores yes they are free, but not at Aldi.

Some stores, usually the ones that specialize in organic crap, offer a $0.10 credit off your order if you bring in your own. Athough it's ten cents only not 0.10/bag you brought.

I didn't realize that is a luxury! lol

Also, I think the one near me gives you the quarter back for the cart too. I'm now realizing that is to avoid needing to employ a cart boy.
