For those of you citing MMA Mania as your source for Houston's long-term deal with the UFC, just remember that a lot of fighters have been cut prior to the expiration of the fights on their contract. For instance, the majority of TUF fighters generally have contracts, but a lot seem to get cut early. I'm not sure if there is a contract provision allowing them to do that or not, but it seems to happen. I'll see what I can find out. I would be surprised if Houston had a 5-fight deal, but they could have possibly locked him in fairly cheap given his situation at home and most recent performances.

The fact that they let the freak have a title shot with a 3-0 record is a fucking joke. Regardless of his 11 month hiatus from competitive fighting, Randy is going to wipe the floor with him. I could care less how big you are - it has nothing to do with that. You have a guy like lesner who I believe wrestled in College, double check those facts - google is not playing nice right now. Now you have a guy like Couture - true very petite next to Brock, but its the technical game that he will be bringing to slay this freak. Yes Dana did it for the rednecks of the world who love them some Vince McMahon Wrasslin - hell didn't Kurt Angle try the MMA out for a minute? Its all PR BS to drive more money for the UFC. I do not blame them or him, Dana is a great mouthpiece for a company he is only 10% owner of - the brothers who back him did a good job letting the Southie (MA Term) Golden Gloves kid run the show on the front end. But getting back to the fight, Randy being Randy - hands down he slays this Giant in 3 or less. I am being very nice with 3.

Side note - I have been wrestling (think Olympics) since I was a kid, and I have been fighting MMA style for a long time now too. So...I am not just piping in to upset the herd. I just hate people (present company excluded) who talk about fights who do not know the first thing about one. Its a technical art - not a human cock fight at McCain once made it out to be.

Brock can want what Randy has all day long, but he better learn how to actually fight in the Octagon before he steps in there with him. The guys that Randy (except Chuck) lost to, were some incredible fighters. Brock is a side show circus act waiting for the center ring to light up. He will be on the next carny train out of town soon enough.

I have been watching UFC for years, Tapout is also another of my favorites - Mask does have good intentions for fighters, but of course he wants to make $$. So his act is just that - an act. All in all - I like the behind the scenes look you can get at some of these fighters and fighting schools. The kid in Hawaii that they gave the apt too - that was cool though. They had some good kids at that BJ Penn school - even though I really cant stand that laid back millionaire beach bum. Give me a Matt Hughes over BJ Penn anyday. Oh - Matt Serra is a bitch - he is a has been never will be bitch. He got lucky, the horse shoe and bible up the ass kind of lucky with GSP. Yes GSP stopped my boy but at least frenchie can fight. Tapout was doing Serra a favor by even backing him - Serra screwed them over not the other way around.

Yeah - long post but I have been reading for a while, working, reading, so I am kind of responding to a lot of things I have read.
