My wife works with disabled adults, and I asked her about this one, her opinion was that the disabled guy's carer (woman at the counter) should have been taking more attention of her ward, but at the same sime, the black guy steaming in all fists-a'blazing was waaay over the top for what was a little tap that the kid hardly seemed to notice.

You could say he was just a father protecting his son, but I'm a father, and if that happened I'd assess the whole situation before reacting, and I would make damn sure malice was aforethought before striking out, that's for certain.

I'm of the opinion that there's 2 mentally deficient people in that clip. One by birth, the other by the fact he's a belligerent thug that punches first, asks questions later (onviously)

How far does the I'm disabled card go? When you hit, spit or kick people, they usually tend to retaliate not assess. Keep him at the house until he is ready to go Live. I can see it vividly, your kid is getting his ass beat and you are trying to draw up a fucking peace treaty. Make sure you let Mom handle the kids.

That kid wasn't getting his ass beat. Not by any stretch of the imagination. If the disabled guy was wailing on my kid I'd have lamped the fucker with a chair, make no mistake. Even if the fucking thing was bolted down.

As for the disabled card, I'm a very tolerant person, but I'll only take so much. a spit, I can live with, but anything else and I'll go further, but the expression 'retard strong', while derogatory, has some truth. These guys, especially those with Downs, have no inhibitions when it comes to throwing a punch and won't hold back (They're also incredibly strong due to their affliction), whereas a non-disabled person will fight but also be on the back-foot, waiting for a retaliation. If the disabled guy had wanted to actually hurt the kid, he would have. I'm simply saying the father wildly over-reacted.

... and your response is from the safety of a video . We do not know what was next from the attacker or what the father was thinking or if he even realized the kid was challenged. What if he had popped him in the eye or bitch slapped him or took him by the head and tossed him into the wall because his size advantage would have allowed him to do whatever he wanted to the kid who would have been defenseless to whatever was next. "That's ok junior. He has a challenge. Take your lumps. The swelling will go down in a few days." He's ok. He got popped in the jaw for attacking a small child. He learned a lesson that just can't be taught better in any other setting. If that is too much for your sensibilities, let him practice life on your kids.
