Not surprised at all. There's been a number of wrestlers that have left the job due to.... well, a number of factors.

As for the Blitzkrieg character, it was passed along to Seattle-area wrestler Jack Evans (currently part of the Vulture Squad in Ring of Honor; also has wrestled on Wrestling Society X on MTV back in early '07).

My personal opinion wrestling died when Vince bought E.C.W. >:-( :
now it is too commercial and fucking retarded! And another thing I hated about WWE *I know HHH is married to steph* but WHY THE FUCK DOES HE HAVE TO BE IN THE MAIN EVENT EVERY SINGLE FUCKING PPV!!! I have never like him and he is the reason why I stopped watching wrestling. that and when ECW ended.

of course this is MY opinion.

Actually, Vince already gave them somewhere in the neighborhood of $500,000 back in 1997 (if anyone remembers Jerry "The King" Lawler invading ECW and Sabu/RVD invading RAW, that was a partial reason as to why). The WWF had the inside track to picking up their tape library because of that alone.

Also, one of the major reasons why ECW died a painful death was because of one of their owners, Paul Heyman. The man could not be trusted with money ever. When the WWF picked them up and officially owned them in April 2001, they were in debt something bad (I think the number was around $288,000 before the tape library).

actually, vince had paul e. on payroll in order to compensate him for signing the ecw talent to wwe. vince felt that helping ecw was good for business. bischoff just took, giving nothing back and denying his unethical practices.

ecw was officially bankrupt prior to the sale to wwe. look it up.

at the time of the end of ecw there was only one owner, paul heyman. according to some, he was a bit shakey at times when it came to money and others say that he never missed a payday. desperate times call for desperate measures. the man was trying to save his baby from dying. he is not to blame for the fall of ecw. there were many factors, probably the biggest being having their tv spot with tnn taken away. no tv, no money. no money, no ecw.

Mick Foley Comments On If He Signed With TNA
Date Added: August 31, 2008
Story By: Cornelius Wilson
During an autograph session at the Cleveland Indians game over the weekend, Mick Foley commented on if he signed with TNA.

"Well, I can say that is not true," Foley said when asked if he has signed with TNA, "though I may try out a pay-per-view with them."

Foley's WWE contract expires tomorrow. It will be interesting to see if he will attend a few events to get a feel for the company before committing to a long-term deal.

let's see where this goes.

Ahh. I knew my memory was slightly messed up, and I checked it out. You were right about ECW.

Also, it's being reported that Gail Kim's coming back into the WWE (on-screen, I know that she signed a new contract with them) within the next few weeks.
