how about a "quality post ratio" category or something gay like that? You know how we track homerun/strikeout ratios for MLB hitters?

Well....similarily - we should acknowledge those that hit a homerun on every post or every other at-bat. Punjab is Dimaggio'esque, I'd say.

The whole point of the convo was not about whether or not they care... it was about whether or not having another DSF awards would cause the same trouble as the last ones did, that's all.

The conclusion (in my eyes) was that it probably would not.

My reasoning is that those guys were here since near the beginning and so i think they felt they had some sort of "ownership"... not in the literal sense but that they were sort of like the Neil Armstrongs of DSF.

I dont feel like we still have anybody here that gives a shit... thus, i dont think anyone will get butthurt if they don't win a particular category.

it's cool babycakes, it's cool....I understood the point, I suppose. I guess I just feel like we're perpetuating the drama...and not just here but in other threads too.

If you didn't think it would have been a problem with the current crop of DSF allstars - why even mention it all?

I'm seriously not trying to stir shit up....I guess I'm just saying that we can't have it both ways. If you wanna publicly laugh at ex-members for taking the awards too seriously or for twittering you or trying to log back in, that's fine....but it's just as silly as their behavior in my opinion and I think you'd be better off letting it die?

Meh, it really doesn't matter.

well, N2 posted this freaking post without even consulting me. If he would have asked me before hand in a PM then this discussion would have happened between me and him away from the gen pop.

So my first post was "I'm not sure if we should do this". Then, of course, i had to explain it to the rest of DSF why it might not be a good idea...then it kept going.

But you have a point Thermos.

If i (we) keep talking about them then we are no better than they are. DSF will be as bad as the "den of sadness" (to quote a fellow DSFer) that MB is.

So here it stops.
