I have my own site that I frequently send the pics to and then link from.

Is that still allowed?

From now on, no.

Sorry but we are trying to stick with hosts that are reliable and have few problems. Not to say that yours has problems but if your service were to go down then there would be a lot of blank images here.

The problem is that these imagehosts come and go...it's a tough, competitive market and a lot of them experience growing pains which can result in bogged down servers and other problems. By sticking to a few tried and true hosts, we hope to eliminate most of the problems.

EDIT -- and just to clear up some confusion... we don't expect anybody to go back and re-upload all their images to these new hosts. We just want people to switch and start using these approved hosts from this day forward.

My own webserver on GoDaddy has never had a problem serving pics to many other sites / forums...

But your forum, your rules...

How long have you had it up and running? If you've had it up and running for a while now, i wouldn't be opposed to letting you stay with it. I wasn't sure if it was a server run out of your bedroom or something.
