Thanks for a great post, Satan. I just moved from NYC last year and I am old enough to remember when NYC was dark and dangerous. I went back recently and was somewhere between a laugh and a tear about how much Midtown had changed. 30 years ago, couldn't swing a dead cat without hitting a porn theater or drug dealer. I remember when the "change" started happening and there was a HYOOGE Cat in the Hat mural overlooking 42nd and 7th and the Big Brother jokes started about how there were cameras in his eyes spying on everyone. Course, now there's cameras EVERY-FUCKIN'-WHERE, even if you don't see most of 'em, watching you...step by step...inch by inch...:P

Really wanna cry, see how much the Village has changed. There's a fuckin' Supercuts on St. Marks, for fuck's sake!
