Lien Sale

Alright first of all, i know how to use google but i rather ask you DSF'ers because experience is better than stupid FAQ's.

I received a notice from the Department of Motor Vehicles stating that a Lien Sale has being filed by a local towing company,. The car was towed over a month ago, i paid to get it out and yet they're still filing for the Lien Sale. Now maybe i dont understand what the hell is going on but with my limited research it seems that the towing company has to be in possession of the vehicle in order for them to sell it, tough luck motherfuckers because i have my car and i have the receipt i got from them when i got the car back.

Am i missing something
