A friend of mine heard a song that she says hit her real hard but she has no idea who sings it, any help from the musical gods would be greatly appreciated.

Here's the email she sent me...

"Okay, it's by a woman. Sounded a bit like Adele to me at first. It's about a love affair that "could never have lasted forever anyway" "the first kiss was poison" "one of us had to walk away and I'm already gone, or already on my way" Something like that. It was slow, dramatic."
