Enjoying being alive. Seriously.
A little over a week ago, I had a surprise heart attack. Felt like all the muscles under my pecks, down to the bottom ribs cramped up. Wasn't short of breath, no nausea, no left arm pain. ONLY reason I was worried is the right side of my body never hurts (left side torn shoulder, all the muscles/tendons from elbow up to jaw, around left side of chest...).
Went and checked my BP which normally runs about 10 points high on both numbers and it was 145/100. Two more checks over a couple minutes and hit 160/115. Told wife, I need to go to ER.
I was in and being seen within 10 minutes of symptoms. My "compelling story" brought in the cardic surgeon who is aggressive and wanted to get me in for a cath with contrast. I said OK. A few minutes later my enzyme test showed 25 where normal is <22.
A few hours later, I was getting 3 stints put in. Two arteries with blockage. One 99%, the Widowmaker at 80%. During she said "Huh, your second lab came back at 78 (well below the 10,000-20,000 normally expected). My cath showed much worse than what she was expecting. Home the next afternoon.
I feel AMAZING!!! Much better than I have for over 20-years. I have no restrictions except staying very low sat fats and light exercise four times a week 30 minutes, HR 110-140. I wake up refreshed and don't need a nap after work anymore.
HUGE negative, I am allowed to mow the fucking lawn...
