While I totally agree when talking about your average, everyday citizen, this guy was making a presidential bid when this was going on. Luckily, it's not only Americans that have this kind of shit happen. I'm remembering a Sarkozy scandal not all that long ago.

I assumed that the whole for the people, by the people thing meant that your politicians were average, everyday citizens.

(except my wife has cancer & isnt put out, so im going to bang the first chick i find), then im going to run for president & talk about christian values & preach about the importance of the family all the while cheating on his cancerous wife.

Now have we heard Mrs. Edwards side of the story? Let me think, let me put myself in her position: I am dying of cancer. Have chemo, have all the horrible side effects. And side note here: I've taken chemo drugs in non-chemo doses and it fucked me up so bad I begged to be shot, so I cannot imagine chemo strength doses. She may have been all for him getting his rocks off somewhere else if it meant he left her the fuck alone. Did you ever think of something like that? Until she speaks and condemns him we will never know.

Yeah he lied. Quite possibly to avoid it coming up until a time he wasn't campaigning. Many of us forgave Clinton. Many others didn't. It's easier to ask forgiveness as times passes. When it's fresh, not so easy.

Is he a hypocrit to do it, lie about it and preace Christian values. Sure. Do we REALLY expect politicians to be honest though? Come on.

possible the biggest dick move about this whole thing is that he didn't even wrap it up. i mean im not condoning cheating on your dying wife. but can you imagine if he brought home herpes or the clap to his wife whose immune system was decipamated by the chemo. i know you can get drunk with power but at some point you must be sitting there saying, "wow i am scum"
