Gotta love a business where your production falls 3% but your revenue goes up 40%.

Just wait... Sooner or later the oil companies record profits are gonna get people riled up bigger than shit. Then some politician's gonna figure out he can get REAL popular by nationalizing them.....

i live in DC, and the economy here is pretty insulated from the rest of the nation. there is no shortage of gas-guzzling SUV's and trucks around here. i wonder how they can afford to fill up their tanks at $4+ a gallon. now i know. they probably own oil co. shares.

Probably because most of the big suv's and trucks in D.C. are owned by people living/working on the government tit so they have a nice government credit card that buys the gas....then we pay the bill.

I am a republican, and I do not think the oil companies are killing us. Go see how much tax the oil companies pay (payroll, sales and other) and tell me we should tax them again. Nationalizing the oil companies would just create more fuck ups (cause we all know governmental agencies (Amtrak, Post Office) run really well).
