Satirical Blogger Intimidated into Quitting Due to Alledged Racism
Due to the nature of this site and some of the hate mail/death threats that Jesus himself have gotten (and I even received myself while writing for the site last year - no death threats for me, but lots of hate mail) this one has hit a little close to home.
Okay before anyone reads this, I don't want this to turn into a Let's Hate the Jews Thread, cause that isn't what this is about. It is however about the fact that someone who was using a public platform (albeit a heavily moderated public platform he doesn't own himself but a public platform nonetheless) to express himself through satire which is obvious to anyone with half a fucking brain, has mysteriously quit after some recent posts and emails he received as a result of them. Details are unclear, but I don't think it's the blog service itself that has shut him down, as the blog is still up ad running so there is something else going on here. Blog***ger, a black Brooklyn, New York blogger known for his satirical and low brow humor has mysteriously quit blogging for the time being as a result of emails he received in regards to his site and accusations of racism. He recently wrote a post about how a Chassidic Jew, who came into his job for an interview at the software company, would not shake hands with the female interviewer from the HR department. He received this email in response to the post and took to his blog to reply.

Wow, it always amazes me how people can get their panties into such a tight bunch over things they read on the internet, things that don't really affect them in real life at all. Maybe because it's so much easier to picture yourself as a hardcore righteous badass when all you're doing is typing words from the safety of your rolling desk chair. Face-to-face confrontation would be too scary for most.
That said, I'd be sad and upset and would have to get on my hardcore righteous badass couch-sitting self if DSF ever got pulled.  On principle, of course.

It's really funny. The site that is, not the fact that some idiot spooked the blogger off. Too bad people will side against religious intolerance in a heartbeat, but not against religion's intolerance. It's wrong to speak against religion, but it's not wrong for religion to speak against whatever the fuck they choose to attack this week.
Fucking lame man. Fundies are the end of the world, do not doubt.

I get so tired of people who cannot deal with satire. Fundamentalist Christians, Liberals, Conservatives, That guy, and extremists of all sorts (look what the Muslims did when someone drew a picture of their prophet). I mean really just fucking look away don't read that story don't watch that movie. I have seen people get up in arms over Monty Pythons Life of Brian. I can find it totally funny if you don't don't watch it. It is satire and people you need to get over yourselves.
