Just recently I bought the PS3. First day I got it, it was awesome. Played Modern Warfare 2 online until I fell asleep at 4am. Woke up the next morning like a kid on Christmas morning. Turned on the game and tried to connect to the PlayStation network. For almost a week strait I have gotten the message saying, "The connection with PlayStation Network timed out."
Doesn't tell me how to fix it or a number to call. I've looked online with other sites and nothing seems to give me a reliable answer. Have any of you had this problem, and if so, how did you fix it.

it's been a long time since i played ps3 (seven fucking months ago, mine died, and i tried to fix it, and it isn't fixed and i've been a miserable cunt ever since) but download the latest firmware update and place it on your ps3, basically, save the update from playstation network and place it in a folder called ps3 system (on your computer and place it on a flash drive), your ps3 will recognize it immediately, now maybe an earlier update could fix your problem, if that doesn't work, carry that fucker back, unless of course you live in a country other than the united states, or any civilized nation (like i do) then you're fucked on returning anything.
edit: either ps3 system file or just ps3 system or some variation there of, since i don't remember and i no longer have a ps3 so fuck off.

its your connection. i had that problem to and it was caused by an old loose coax wire comin from the modem. i bought all new coax, works fine. you will also get that error sometimes while playing. hit me up my name is NotoriousGoon... lets kill some muthafuckers.

Can't be the connection. I'm connected to the internet on it via wireless router. I can surf the internet, but it just won't connect to the network. Keeps saying that it times out. More annoying than anything.
Can't be an upgrade problem. Updated all of the packages just last Sunday (the day I bought it), and says that there are no new updates.
Hopefully I'll be there soon. Look me up, my name is Pympton (original huh)
