Nope, but my dad has. He hit some old man that pulled out of front of him. My dad was a truck driver hauling logs back then. It was a rainy day... basically there was nothing my dad could do. My dad plowed the guy killing him almost instantly. My dads big rig rolled onto it's side and slid into all the wreckers in the tri-county area. They said my dad should have died. He lost a lot of blood, his knuckles were pushed all the way up to his wrist, he broke his pelvis and numerous other bones. The damage was so bad to his hand that it required reconstructive surgeries. They tried bone graphs and that didn't work out so well. The only other option beside actually removing it was to reconstruct the bones in his hands with plastic. There was only one specialist in the states back then (it was the 80's) and that was in CT. So my dad moved to Connecticut and after therapy entered the work force where he met my mom. The got it on and thus I was born a year later. So without that old ass dude dieing, or at least getting into that accident, I wouldn't be a live. So I guess it didn't bother him too much and it surely doesn't bother me.
