Oshiri Tantei is actually an entire series, the first book in which was published in 2012.
While the first in the series is simply called
The Butt Detective, subsequent titles some up the central mystery of the book — with a flatulent twist.
According to Nick Kapur, whose tweets about the series have gone viral, each title begins with the phrase 'Pu pu!' which means 'Fart fart!'
Titles in the series include 'Fart, Fart! The Riddle of The Disappearing Lunch Box' and 'Fart, Fart! The Little Police Chief's Big Problem.
