Lol, I learned about snowballing the hard way. My ex-boss used to use a term "snowing me" when he thought people were deceiving him.
In a meeting one day, when talking about a vendor who was "snowing me" about an order, I said "Les is snowballing me about (whatever the situation was, I forget)".
My boss turned BEET red and sent me downstairs. I couldn't figure out why and had to turn to google.
