I can respect this, Trip. And I apologize for my tone in the earlier response. But I stand by the message. The thing is we're not most industrialized countries. The American Experiment is still a unique one. There is nowhere in the world that is USA, jr. We can say we have to be more like Europe, more like Japan, more like Canada, more like whatever. But those things aren't possible. We're a unique culture, with the good and the bad that comes with that.
On the other hand, I'm all for alternatives. The Right is in the wrong for not coming up with any. You've got me there. But the Left is just as wrong for having no alternatives but a scorched Earth policy. But that's part of the bad of the American Experiment. It's a two party system. Sure, there are Greens, Liberaterians, Socialists, Constitutionists and a million other little parties. But they're insignificant. And they always will be, because they're fringe elements. The fact is, to change the System, it has to be within the System. Hitching your wagon to a fringe third party is just spinning your wheels. Write your Congressmen, write your Legislator, write your City Council. Vote. And encourage your friends to vote. I've never been to one of the Tea Parties. Say what you will about them, that movement has scared the piss out of the Establishment. It scares them because these are people who've probably never been involved before. Working within the System and letting the System know they're being watched. Letting them know their cushy gigs are at risk. That's what Americans are supposed to be about. Not kicking back and letting the Government take care of us. They serve at our pleasure. We don't serve at theirs.
