I watched a discovery channel show on how they built that. (I am in an engineering field so how things are made is interesting to me)
Those towers that it rests on have the large mechanisms that lift the bridge decking up and inch it along. They literally built it on land and slid it out from each half to meet in the middle. I think they were with in an inch or 2 when they met. That is fucking incredible to me.
