Ripping movies for this forum question
So I am trying to rip my Russ Meyer DVDs for posting to this forum. I see most of the movies being posted are around 700 mbs. So I dl'ed Convert x and Magic DVD ripper from the apps forum. First Magic DVD took 2 hours and the resulting video was terrible. Not even watchable. SO I tried the convert x prog and it was a little better, but still sucks.
So my questions:
How small should I shrink a 4 gig DVD?
AVI, MPEG, DIVX?
VCD or SVCD or just a plain file with no menus?
Any other advice?
