gee i didn't realize there were some many stay at home dads, just like me, on the DSF. oh wait a minute they're not just like me cause i FUCKING HATE IT! been doing it for 5 years i gave up a job in radio for this, cruising the lake in the summer on the party barge, live remotes, free swag from record companies, for giving a song/group airtime, hell yes payola exists it didn't end with Allen Freed, it got bigger, i miss the backstage passes, and front row tickets, the girls doing special things for me, yes god damit i'm married so the fuck what i was a GOD, and now i'm a stay at home dad, dad i'm hungry, dad i'm thirsty, dad i'm done, wipe my butt! and so help me god if she is pregnant again, i will murder my uroligist for not doing my vasectomy right. i left radio cause i tought that finishing college would help my career, i thought being a stay at home dad would allow my wife more freedom to pursue her dreams of being a Music Educator/Band Director. oh well, i did what i did, and thats all that i can say about it. i have two kids and i am misserable, the youngest starts school in august of 2010, and with any luck i can get a job at one of the schools so i can have my summers off that way the wife the kids and my vacation times would all be the same. The Captain is dead and he will remain thus, maybe it is better this way.
