PirateBay logs every IP that connects to it and everything that IP access and then they pass that info on to the MPAA/RIAA and government entities keeping track of possible pirates.

I know of three people who were busted directly because of PirateBay's data.


Sad day for mininova. I don't get movies or music off sites though so the only thing I'll miss is tv shows and books.
