I can't imagine seeing one of these things up close Max.
I've been in close proximity a couple of times to smallish swell, brown & tips (~6-10') and pissed my suit. You can literally feel the pressure change when those kick by, this thing must displace volume - and I don't care if it's not lookin' to eat you, still awesome!
