I think it's been a brilliant friggin' way to market the back catalogues to kids; and has potential to break or blow up new music.
We picked up a GH World Tour set for my girls this xmas, and my eleven year old is rockin' out to Steely Dan, Heart and Petty as well as Rise Against, Silversun & Bullet for My Valentine!!!
They have released add on packs for Raconteurs, and the new (yawn) Metallica album, along with a few other more current; so not only are all those moldies getting spins, but some of the newer are there.
I think it's just the beginning.
Bronfman has to get greedy to justify that corporate beast; and his billions. Kinda like the file sharing debate, though even worse because they are getting paid, just not enough for their bloated, antiquated machine.
What happened to free/cheap publicity to support tours, etc.

If I was just breaking I'd try like hell to get my shit in games!!!
