Doesn't piss me off. It is a typical reaction. That is a spider in the orb weaver family. They build a new web everyday and the web is almost impossible to escape when caught in them. It is apparent that was a very young finch that got caught in the web. I assume the spider let it struggle until it was exhausted and then casually walked over and delivered some venom. All spiders are venomous but only a few can hurt humans. This particular spider probably would only hurt like hell if it bit you, but it has enough of a punch to subdue small prey. That bird is not it's typical diet, but she isn't going to refuse a free meal.
On another note, spiders are the most beneficial critter in your backyard. They eat all the pest insects that would be in uncontrollable numbers if it wasn't for spiders and bats. Spiders are your friend people!
