School shopping....I take my son to Hibbett's to get him some shoes....since when were Nike shoes not good enough anymore? Ended up driving all over the place for "DC" shoes because Hibbett's didn't carry them...actually I shouldn't complain...they were cheaper...

yeah, Nike stopped being cool about 5 years ago. skaters are the cool people nowadays, not athletes.

Yeah skater/surfer is the "in" look for all non-athletes

my kid plays basketball and baseball, and football next year (at least he wants to as of now)

Maybe athletes secretly want to be surfers/skaters now because it's cool??????

I haven't skated in years now, but I still snowboard. The surfer/skater look is in because it combines comfort of a sports jersey with the style of someone who is gay. It's a happy median.

Kids are so picky these days.

I have an 8 yr old nephew,who won't wear clothes,unless they are black,
and have skulls/skulls and crossbones on them.

I told my sister she better pray he doesn't turn into an emo(just kidding)

Now,he wants a mohawk.....

They like the look anyway - my son is athletic, but he loves the skater style shoes and stuff.
