Do you think you are smart?
 

I know this guy who is not only in Mensa but also in Intertel.
Only 1% of Mensa people can get into Intertel....it's the smartest of the smart people.

I feel even dumber than ever when i am around him but he's a real social leper which makes me feel a little better about myself because i am a little less so.

So, do you consider yourself to be "smart".

Explain why you think you are/aren't smart.
And/or what do you consider "smart" to be?

I don't think I am all that smart. Intelligence is over rated and I don't believe there is an accurate gauge of intelligence and "smarts" anyway.

I think I am smart in certain areas, history, some math, Pop culture. But then again, there are some areas where I am as dumb as a box of rocks.

i think i'm intelligent, but not knowledgeable. i don't know a lot, but i know how to use what i got.

Smart is such a relative term. I'm confident that I can walk into any room with anyone and have an intelligent conversation. I think there are certainly people out there who are far more intelligent than I am, but I think I have a nice balance of intelligence and social skills. I've had a lot of experience dealing with some people who are so smart, it seems they have trouble expressing their thoughts (although this could be the social leper aspect as well).

I consider myself smart because I'm arrogant.

Not blowing my own trumpet, but apparently I am in the 98th percentile for IQ in Australia, but Im just too fucking lazy to put it to good use.

I'd drive out of bed if I could, I am that lazy.

The average Aussie IQ is 12, so I wouldn't be bragging too much, Micky.
