Where did Essential Tools go?

Lucas, did you receive a complain?...don't tell me the disappearance was somehow related to the Pen-TylerB thing....

binary_jester 04-13-2008 02:09 AM

Since Pen was the major contributer and he edited all his links, seems kind of pointless. I can start another. I'll start running through my external hard drive and post the good shit.

Sorry man i really am.

I accidentally deleted it when i was deleting Pen's now useless posts. Since he started that thread it got deleted too.

That was a mistake on my part. sorry

Can somebodey else start a new ESSENTIAL TOOLS thread to make up for the fact that i'm a retard admin and deleted the last one?

Binary? anyone? :o

hey guys, i have a question, and i know someone here will be able to help me.
since downloading all this great shit in the forums, my system has been going slower, considering its a 3 yr old 80 gig laptop....

aside from upgrading and/or deleting files, anyone have any suggestions as far as helping to clean up unneeded files?

ive downloaded and searched for some programs, but i was wondering if someone here had an actual suggestion of something they use or know of.
thanks in advance.

Are you working with an external hard drive at all? I know that saved me a ton when I started DLing more files. My comp was already outdated and all this good shit was slowing it down even more. With externals being so cheap now for a good sized one, definitely allowed me to delay the inevitable of having to put the old bastard down.

Cleaning up your hard drive will free up space (obviously), but it won't necessarily speed up your computer. Killing programs that start when your computer 1st boots, defraging your hard drive (especially of you download and delete a lot of files) will both help a lot.

If you want a good file cleaner, I highly recommend ccleaner.
