Are you kidding me? You just answered your own question.

"2" is a lot easier than figuring out the difference between 'to,' 'too,' and 'two.'

What should he have called you?

I've sat here for a few minutes now debating with myself on how to reply. I've thought of a lot of things to say but I've decided I'm going to try to be civil and simply say;

That is one hell of a thing to fucking admit and it says a lot about you.

What's wrong with a nice dinner?

(I'm far more mystified as to why she took "sexy" as a personal insult)

Were you going to bone the guy in exchange for the dinner? No judgment here, I like seeing the barter system being used again. :)

Huh, fair enough. Have you ever asked out a dude? More specifically, have you taken a dude out to dinner?

I guess I can see that.

A few girls have taken me out. It was awesome. 98% of dates ends up in me spending a sizable amount of money. Not that I was looking for sex but I was hoping for it. If it crushed a guys ego it would mean that guy is a boy and has an extremely fragile ego. Its nice to change it up, and a woman offering to pick up the tab makes her seem a lot more liberal, which I like.

I guess I see your point in the sexual object comment, but you already saw him as a free meal. I'm thinking the issue is why do you think its ok to spend someone elses money but are dismayed at the intent it comes with.

She didn't say "free dinner," she said "nice dinner"--which means getting to know you, and so on.

Seems likely she was looking for something in between just punching a meal ticket and meeting for a late-night fuck. Nothing wrong with that.
