Breathtaking Guitars/Basses
 
Alright so I'm starting this thread to showcase some of the beautiful guitars and basses I've seen on dis here interwebs. Feel free to add to it
First up is the Ritter Flora Aurumn. Price $250,000
Floral Pattern Fingerboard Inlay made of massive 24Carat Gold
Every single Inlay-Leaf is decorated with a Black Diamond (set in Platinum)
The Bridge, the Tuner Buttons and the Knobs are handcast in massive Gold
2 flawles Brillant-Cut Diamonds (3,3ct) are placed on top of the 2 Knobs
Tiny green Brillant-Cut Diamonds serve as Knob Position Marks
The handshaped Body is made of a one piece Highest Figured Quilted Maple
The Nut is made of at least 10000 years old Mammoth Ivory

Here's one that might look a little odd. It's a Dingwall Z1 with a Spalted Maple Top in "Rastaburst" finish. These things start at $2,800
The cool thing about these basses is that they have a fanned fret system. Basically on top B string the scale is 37" and as you move towards the G string the scale becomes 33" i believe. This helps with intonation and gives the strings a more even feel. I've played one of these before and it really takes some getting used to.

Alright I know all of these have been basses so far. What can I say I'm biased.

Here are some shots of the Dillion Electrics Crystal Series. I've never heard one in person but I've seen then here and there in concerts and on TV. Pretty anyhow...

I've always like the look of those transparent guitars. I used to have one of those acrylic BC Rich Warlocks. I've seen Dave Grohl rocking a Dan Armstrong/Ampeg lucite guitar pretty regularly
