I rarely eat them but when i do i'll just put a bunch in my mouth and chew them, shells and all, until it is all small enough to just swallow.

When I get tired of cracking the shells, I'd throw a handful in my mouth and grind them down. I liked to eat peanuts in the shell too, but I'm not allowed any more. Last time put me in the hospital.

Yes - I used to use the whole sunflower seed and/or peanut trick when I was a kid to gross out my friends. Now I do the same thing to gross out my wife.
