Deadpool
 

Caught this last night at a late showing. If you're a fan of comic adaptations and find yourself often put off by how Hollywood has treated the source material *cough* Disney *cough* . . . *cough* X-Men, Wolverine, etc. *cough* then you're in for a treat here.

Deadpool is laugh out loud funny, irreverent, fourth wall breaking, profane, bloody, and action-y. It's R rated, so there's nudity, sex and FUCKING LANGUAGE WARNING in case you missed that before.

For this old-time X-Men fan, it's nice to see the Colossus character properly fleshed out, or as fleshed out as you can be in CG, for once. Morena Baccarin is gorgeous in this, and I may be wrong, but it looked like there was a split second where she was fully naked, but it flashed by so fast I can't be sure. I suppose when it comes out on dvd we'll find out.

Reynolds seems to be having a blast here, almost cathartic, as he pokes fun at his other superhero roles, the X-Men movies and Hugh Jackman multiple times.

Definitely worth the bucks to see it, imho.
