what a start to the season....is it possible that the UK/UofL game could have sucked any more? My friends that are UK fans refuse to even brag about the win the game sucked soo bad.....I'm embarrassed for the entire state....

Yes i agree. Being from Ky and a fan of Uk yes it did stink. Feel worse for the ul coach because he will be looking for another job if this continues.

well, i was watching the rutgers game a little bit yesterday, and they looked piss poor. so much for an attempt at a big east run this year. anyways, enough about college football, the NFL starts thursday. anyone wanna lay out their superbowl pics

Wisconsin beats Akron big surprise. I hate the way some of the teams schedule their non conference games. Missouri an aspiring top ten team with a potential NFL QB play 8 of their 12 games at home, with 3 of those against 1-AA schools.

and we all know the gators are close to getting to the natl championship themselves...i know we played hawai'i and they've got almost no talent now...but we had 4 different guys run tds in every which way(INT ret, Punt ret, rushing attack) it was crazy

on the issue of a playoff: its sad when u have to explain how the playoffs DONT work in ncaa to ur gf and how media voting is bullshit and the rankings are bullshit and even shes like, 'that makes no sense'

Right now there are 32 bowl games. So why not have a 32 team playoff bracket. It would leave you with 31 games (could do a play in like march madness for an even 32 games). You could keep the same bcs rankings for the top 32 teams.

i do agree that the college football system is bullshit. there will never be a true champion without a playoff. i believe there is the ability to fix this system but it wont ever happen. as for the superbowl, would love to see the Jets win it all, but more realistically, colts over cowboys

i think the gators will win the cocktail party...but i don't know if they'll get a chance for the sec champ...they were sluggish last saturday.

but if they come out and whup miami, i'll feel better. the D is definitely improved, though.

Maybe this will be the year that uk breaks is long losing streak to florida or tennessee. I was still in middle school (mid 80's) last time they beat either one of them.

Of course my heart says Georgia. It is hard to say as those are 2 incredibly balanced teams. Along with LSU, Auburn and now Alabama in the West(not to mention Tennessee even though they lost), as usual the SEC is the toughest conference out there. This year it's to a new level.

It's gonna be fun to watch! I just hope we don't beat each other up so much that some 2nd rate team back doors into the BCS Championship and that is very liable to happen unfortunatly.

Ole Miss may surprise some people this year... They aren't going to contend for the Trophey but they should be a +.500 team which would be a win for them!

that is a win for them...i remember last yrs uf-ole miss game, though...they came close to pulling the upset.

but this yr they dont even have orgeron anymore, he was the best part of that team..the end is the best part.

But Jevan Snead should keep them competitive and they have a killer Freshman at RB.. so It could get interesting for them this year

Hating Ohio State and Wisconsin, but yeah I always pay more attention to the Big Ten. Oh yeah and Michigan State can go suck one

Alright another UK fan in the forum. For the first time in years we can actually say that without laughing

can u say it this yr? isnt andre woodson gone? whats kentuckys record so far?

Woodson is gone but they have two QB's that are fighting it out for starter position. So far they say they seem to lack some leadership skills, basically they dont stand up to upperclassmen very well.

However they do have two top ranked QBs coming in next year.

Also their record is 3/0. They totally whipped Louisville and have done pretty good so far. However its still early in the season and they havent really got to the real competition yet.

good thing is, no one has, except osu...and thats the only real team theyll play all season while going something-1 and pretending to be able to get into the natl champ game.

i could just check, but ill ask u, do uf and ku play this yr?
