They Once Were Chumps, Now They're Champs
 

Have you had a group, singer, whatever that you thought were complete jokes, talentless buffoons, but that you now think are pretty OK? Maybe you don't revere them, but you like them enough to illegally download at least 3 of their songs.

Kid Rock is mine. When I first saw the video for Bawitdaba, I was like 'what the fuck is this shit". I mean, he's got on the limest lime green running suit, the porkiest pork pie hat and the biggest possible cigar. JJ from Good Times didn't have shit on this guy. Typical White Rapper. Then Only God Knows came out. Nice change of pace, catchy little number. Suddenly, like 5 or 6 years later, he was this all around musician guy that was doing everything: rock, hard rock, southern rock, country rock, going to Johnny Cash's funeral, hanging with Hank Jr., basically putting out stuff that tickled my nostalgia nerves no end. Oh, sure, he's still a buffoon. The sex tape with Scott Stapp, throwing down in a waffle house with some townie. But you know, he has carte blanche to do whatever he wants, and for some reason it'll be musically cutting edge. Or if not cutting edge, at least very unique, but not so unique it's unlistenable crap. Plus he goes to Iraq and Afghanistan to perform for the troops more than anyone I can think of. Which goes a long way in my book.

I've downloaded much of his stuff illegally.
