If i come to the US&A for a concert, which town would be best?

Hey now, so Weezer have just announced their 2008 tour and me and my buddies want to come and see them play, but they are only touring in the US, so we thought we'd kill two stones with one bird and also get a holiday at the same time, now me being a total jackass i dont really know any of these places apart from NY and LA, so i was just wondering what you guys think would be the best places to go? Ive only ever been to Nashville, Florida and Miami in the US before, but that was when i was only 8 and pussy to me then had 4 legs and ate food from a tin, this time i would like to take in the concert and also have a great night life if possible? So if you guys had to catch the concert at one of these places, what one would you choose? good night life, local gun range and maybe some sites to see would be the preferred choice, although site seeing isn't really needed

Here are the tour dates:

Sep 23 Boston, MA - Tsongas Arena
Sep 24 New York, NY - Madison Square Garden
Sep 26 Atlantic City, NJ - Borgata Casino
Sep 27 Philadelphia, PA - Susquehanna Center

NYC would definitely be the best place for you. Always something to do and Manhattan is great. Chicago is also a great city.

SexyLion 08-12-2008 11:32 AM

Hell, if you make it early enough I will even buy you a beer/pint at lunch.

NYC all the way baby.

beastley 08-12-2008 11:47 AM

it also depends on ur budget, but if ur looking for (approachable) pussy, i'd go with those CA cities(not LA) or AZ...

but also, Chi-town is a great place to visit if you've never been.

you can't beat San Diego for weather and relaxation. beaches, bikini's and margaritas.

i'd hit NY if you want to be busy.

This is a great question RvP, i too have thought about taking the trip across the water but deciding what city is a nightmare. You have to consider all those things like beer prices, best looking women, best chance to get a women, etc....

Just stay out of houston unless you want to visit the world's fattest city and have your hair explode from the humidity. But the food is good!

come to milwaukee during summerfest. summerfest is the world's largest music festival and an all around blast. it is an 11 day event filled with tons of great music from nearly every genre imaginable and beer, lots and lots of beer. plus it will be much cheaper than nearly every city you listed. milwaukee has quite possibly the best summer weather with temps in the low 80's with cool breezes blowing off of lake michigan.

here's a link of this past years musical acts(obviously next year will have a different lineup but this will give you a taste of what is offered)

could not have said it better myself. I live right outside the city........possibilities are endless

I also went to San Diego last year, and no joke it is a paradise........some of the most beautiful beaches and women i have ever seen, and the weather is PERFECT ALL THE TIME

if you are looking to relax CA is all the way to go.......keeping busy NYC just like he said

Keep away from Detroit, Cleveland and Cincinnati.

Agreed, Houston is a shit city. Downtown is dead empty with no nightlife.

See even the people over the pond think of Canada as part of the USA... j/k

I'd Recommend San Diego also. Weather is rarely hot there, good beaches good Mexican food within 30 minutes. Can even take a run to LA in under 2 hours or Vegas in under 5 hours if you have the time.

Austin, TX is the live music capital of the world. If you're a music fan, I suggest going there. There's so many music bars and venues there's bound to be many other good shows there while you'd be there.

However if you're only coming for the one show, I would suggest NYC. Biggest city, plus much more variety in activities to do. Might as well go big. You'll find plenty to do there. Plus, as you mentioned, shortest plane trip

Rofl, never said it was a shit city. Downtown is dead because it all moved out to midtown. From main street take a left for about a mile. Then you will see it all.

But by far the best party city in Texas is Austin.

With your fear of flying I would keep it to the east coast and have to say Boston or NYC. So many extra things to do in each of these places and there are tons of places to stay.

barnanjeto 08-15-2008 03:15 PM

Dallas texas and come see the shitty emo fag himself. :)

Plus texas women are hott as hell.

No you didn't but I will. Austin is great for being a a blue island in a sea of red. Plenty of nightlife there and San Antonio is cool enough for the drive south.

Nothing better than NYC and historic Madison Square Garden. You should check out MSG's Wikipedia page. The history there is amazing.
