To be fair i think a lot of these elaborate sculptures like the dragon cake are entered into cake decorating competitions but are really more of a fondant sculpture which is within the rules of these competitions as they are being judged on the creativity and the decorations.

BTW the dragon cake was made by these guys - you might be able to find more info on it if it interests you.

see now this is a winner. If they wanted to design model toys and sculpt things why waste CAKE! Cake is for eating! Reminds of towels my mom used to have in the bathrooms that you weren't supposed to use, if ya wanna decorate buy some damn decorations, don't waste towel rack space.

yes I know it's technically edible, but have you eaten that shit? Just grab a bag of sugar and start gargling.

jo_dile 02-20-2009 06:40 PM

LOL.....Red Velvet cake is just chocolate cake with red food coloring...:D

Some red velvet cakes might be that way now, but originally the red color of the cake came from coco powder mixing with the acidic ingredients. Now we have a different type of coco powder and people add the coloring to get go along with the name.
