I just rented a house. I've already paid my pet deposit and am in the process of getting all of the utilities changed over. As shit is being moved in the landlord decides to tell me that they are sending over an amendment to pet agreement saying that my dog isn't allowed in the house.

FUCK YOU!

don't sign it. then you can either force them to honor the original agreement, or at least threaten to take them to court for moving costs when they try to evict you.

I called them before they could even get it e-mailed over and pretty much told them exactly what you said. The lady said it was an oversight that her assistant didn't include it in the original pet agreement. I told her that was too bad, there was a signed contract that would have never been signed if that was a stipulation. She called back about 5 hrs later saying that they would go ahead and allow it. Bitch.
