You never met my neighbour in New Jersey. On one side was a St. Bernard, on the other was a German Sheperd. Two house down was a French Poodle that hated ppl and well as various mongrels around the block. (Some of them were the kids I went school with) At least here in Florida you can own a gun, so if the dog attacks you or your kids , you can shoot it. Animal control doesn't play games around here. Too many Dobies and pit bulls. One bite and the animal gets destroyed.

not all big dogs are violent. i wanna adopt a pitbull that was used as bait for dog fights, theres so many of them that were rescued from newark.

I agree. Every though most dogs are inherently wild animals, just breed for captivity, when treated with gentleness and kindness they are the most tame, love and docile creature on g-d's given earth. As well as some of the smartest. In most cases, I feel it the owner that creates the beast within them. However, because I never had a pet and some bad experiences with animals as a child it wasn't until my late 20's that I lost my fear of dogs and they of me. Now I can interact with most kinds with feeling or showing fear. My attitude has change. They can smell that on me. Beside I wouldn't hurt a fly. Well maybe a cockroach.
