Graham Barker shows off his record-breaking 22.1 grams of bellybutton lint, which the 45-year-old librarian has collected over the past 26 years.
Barker says he began collecting navel fluff after becoming curious “as to how much of it one person can produce.” He plans on filling an additional five jars before calling it quits to ensure his record remains in tact for a long time.
What advice does Barker have to offer young navel-gazers interested in picking their way into the lint-farming business?
“I found that having a shower tends to wash away any lint,” Barker was quoted as saying, “so the logical time to collect is just before getting in the shower each evening.” |
