That clip is old. It's from Hell's Kitchen when it was on the air in England. I don't care if he's an ass to them, I actually think it's funny because every season about half of the fucks show up and don't know how to cook. My point is you never see him that calm with the American contestants, so he's either gotten more wound up over the years, or he thinks we're somehow less deserving of a calm quiet moment than the British. Or (most likely) Fox has told him to amp it up and made him purposefully keep morons like this season's Elyse and previous seasons' Tennille around to get higher ratings as they cause drama all over the show. This is exactly why a number of times you'll find that the winners of past seasons didn't get the prize quoted in the show, because drama is more important.

i dont know, i can understand it. some chefs are treated like superstars....winning awards, tv appearances, book deals, accolades, michelin stars, etc. seems like it would be hard not to get an ego with a gig like that.
