I decided to travel back in time to page 4 of this thread for my initial introduction so I can now re-introduce myself.
Beer, beer, tequila still works, though I am now also partial to red wine, bloody marys, and dirty martinis.
I'm still on the CA coast, but farther south now.
No longer a grad student (and no longer a band manager), I now get paid (though not enough) to study coastal biodiversity. And do other smarty-pants things, like organize conferences and be on editorial boards of books.
Still have the sunglasses, don't spin fire as much as I'd like, and I still play a mean guitar.
Dancing, yes, but not as much as I used to. Sigh. Being a grown-up can kind of suck sometimes.

Hippies don't grow up they just become less revolutionary. Or revolting, depending upon the case.

Why, just think of all the great deals you get with AARP and those early bird dinner specials...Shasta was able to save so much he got a new van for the kiddies.

No worries, you'll eventually grow out of it...

Thermos was more into the old wrinkly ones I thought... anyhow, I'm about to embark on a Marine Biology major after years of putting off finishing my degree.
