Work at a shelter, or a vet, or a zoo, or an aquarium... or go to school for something with animals, the school I'm at right now has an amazing wildlife program and marine mammal program and you get to start working with the animals pretty quickly.

Honestly, it's so worth it to do what you need to do to get to do the work you love, especially since we live in a culture that puts so much emphasis on your job- it pretty much defines your life. Something you do for 8 hours a day should at least be enjoyable. It's why I'm back in school now- I can't wait to be done, but it'll be worth it when I find that great coastal research job once I have the degree!

:D It's at least good to have a backup plan. We can't all marry independently wealthy guys. Plus you'll have some satisfaction with work until you find him and can retire young.
