I love my iphone but the phony sense of smugness is so damn irritating. My buddy has a "cheap" mac laptop that cost 2 grand and it is a piece of shit! I'd rather use a commodore 64 with a tape drive and AOL dial up if it had the capability to download porn and music.

They make quality hardware/software. The reason the Iphone has been successful though has a lot to do with the American cell phone market that subsidizes phones and makes it affordable. I'm not hating on apple, just saying the apple tax is waaaaaaaay too high.

The thing that infuriates me about Apple is their need to be so goddamned proprietary over their shit. Apple products are pretty, they look nice, but there is nothing a Mac can do that a PC can't, and for cheaper, IMO. Sure they are the machine of choice for graphic design and what not, but meh.

They finally moved towards running on IBM architecture, using Intel processors and all, allowing for having Windows loaded in conjunction with OSX. That being said, I have a Macbook, only because the sons of bitches wont let the iPhone SDK run on a Widows machine, despite it needing to run on an Intel based Mac.

And yes, I still need to reboot this thing every now and then.

People act like they are better than other people because they chose one product over another.... Seriously? You honestly think you are better in some way than the people that didn't choose apple? Smug bitches.

If i want to buy a Mercedes but in doing so i am forced to buy Mercedes tires, a Mercedes stereo, and all Mercedes parts i'll buy a BMW instead. In my BMW i will install Alpine stereo, Pirelli tires, and Brembo carbon ceramic discs brakes.

Actually very fitting analogy, Apple grasps the nuts of all the pieces of their product, regardless of price or quality. They just want control. Didn't Microsoft get kicked in the shins for the same shit?
